High fashion has always been a beacon of style and inspiration to the entire design world at large—and supermodels are the A-listers of high fashion. Their talent and beauty serve as extraordinary canvases for the numerous collections of clothing top designers produce every year. The tire company Pirelli has long honored the world’s prevailing supermodels in an annual calendar photo shoot with a leading fashion photographer. They broke away from this tradition several years ago to include other prominent celebrities but returned to the all-model tradition this year.

Top Australian fashion photographer Emma Summerton who was hired this year to photograph the Pirelli Calendar with the best models in the industry for the theme “Love Letters to the Muse.” Emma was tasked with celebrating the power of creativity as well as the strength and passion of women. In her remarkably, dreamy and stylish shots, Emma certainly succeeded with this mission with models like Precious Lee, Guinevere van Seenus, Ashley Graham,  Adut Akech, Adwoa Aboah, and more.
