In 2024, Studio Designer welcomed Mydoma into the family with a clear goal: to broaden the range of solutions available to interior designers, supporting them at every stage of their business journey. One year later, that mission has taken shape–bringing momentum, innovation, and new capabilities across both platforms. Today, nearly 20,000 designers use Studio Designer and Mydoma tools to streamline their workflows, strengthen their operations, and build profitable, future-ready businesses.

“Mydoma and Studio Designer are two separate platforms, but together, we share a common goal: to help designers run more efficient, profitable businesses,” says Sarah Daniele, co-founder of Mydoma. “Each product serves a unique purpose, but at the heart of both is our commitment to providing designers with the tools and support they need to succeed and grow.”

Strengthened by Shared Vision

Behind both platforms is one collaborative team. Product, support, and engineering teams across Studio Designer and Mydoma work closely together — sharing insights, solving challenges, and driving innovation that benefits all users. This united approach allows us to evolve faster and build smarter tools that truly meet the needs of today’s design professionals.

“The partnership between Studio Designer and Mydoma makes sense because we share the same core belief: that interior designers deserve tools built specifically for the way they work,” says Daniele. “By combining our strengths, we’re able to serve the industry more completely than ever before.”

The acquisition has allowed both teams to align under a single mission: to build the most comprehensive ecosystem of software, education, and support for the interior design industry. Mydoma has retained its fast, intuitive experience while gaining the benefits of Studio Designer’s infrastructure and cross-functional resources.

“Whether designers choose Mydoma or Studio Designer, they’re part of a shared ecosystem designed to help them succeed,” says Studio Designer CEO Tyler Vieira. “Our teams are working together to create the best features on the market; all aimed at simplifying designers’ lives and empowering them to focus on growing their business.”
Tasks that used to take hours—like manually preparing invoices for clients in multiple states—can now be completed with just a few clicks. Automated sales tax calculations ensure accuracy without additional effort, freeing up even more of your time and making sure that you’re ready for bookkeeping meetings and tax season.

Smarter Payments: StudioPay + MydomaPay

We’re excited to introduce MydomaPay, a new feature that brings added convenience and professionalism to billing within Mydoma. Built on the trusted foundation of StudioPay—one of Studio Designer’s most popular features—MydomaPay offers interior designers a seamless and secure way to collect payments directly from their invoices, without the need for external tools. StudioPay was designed to simplify high-value transactions while ensuring security and professionalism, setting the standard for a modern payment experience in the design industry. By leveraging StudioPay’s proven infrastructure, we’re bringing the same streamlined, secure payment experience to Mydoma users.

With these fully integrated payment systems, designers can manage payments directly within the tools they already use, eliminating the need for third-party processors or manual workarounds. Together, they mark a significant step forward in how designers can efficiently manage and receive payments.

A Platform Designed by Designers

Getting up to speed quickly is key to making a new platform a seamless part of a designer’s workflow. That’s why onboarding has been a top priority since Studio Designer and Mydoma came together. Studio Designer’s JumpStart framework — already proven to help firms integrate the platform into their daily operations — was thoughtfully adapted for Mydoma, offering each user a clear and easy path to adoption.

JumpStart for Mydoma combines flexible, self-paced online training, interactive group sessions, and personalized guidance from experts who truly understand design business needs. The program covers essential tasks like setting up client portals, creating design boards, and sending proposals, empowering designers to manage projects, clients, and payments with confidence.

Developed collaboratively by the Studio Designer and Mydoma support teams, this program ensures that designers, no matter which platform they use, can effectively incorporate the tools into their workflow, helping them run a more organized and profitable business.

“We created JumpStart to be dynamic, self-paced, and engaging. This onboarding experience helps designers tap into the full potential of the platform from day one,” says Tanner Kingsolver, Senior Content Enablement Specialist.

Investing in the Business of Design

Studio Designer and Mydoma are united by a shared commitment to advancing the design profession by providing designers with the tools and support they need to thrive. We were thrilled to bring our teams together to co-host the sixth annual 19 Hours Virtual Conference in 2025, an event created to equip designers with the operational tools essential for their success.

“19 Hours has evolved into a space where designers can strengthen the operational side of their firms,” says Daniele. “It’s an opportunity to step back, learn, and lead with intention.”

Created in 2020, during a time of industry-wide transition, 19 Hours began as a virtual conference to help designers navigate the business side of their work. Today, 19 Hours brings together hundreds of professionals across North America for two days of high-impact learning, connection, and clarity.

With expert-led sessions on finance, leadership, public relations, team building, and legal strategy, the event provides designers with actionable insights to scale their businesses with confidence. Each year’s theme is intentionally chosen to reflect the current needs of the design community. The 2025 theme—The Business Playbook: Building an Interior Designer’s Dream Team—focused on equipping designers with leadership frameworks and team-building strategies for sustainable growth.

19 Hours is also a moment for our teams—across Studio Designer and Mydoma—to come together, share insights, and learn alongside the designers we serve. It’s a reflection of our shared commitment to innovation, community, and supporting every stage of a designer’s business journey.
