A New Feature is on the Horizon and Your Payroll Has Been Streamlined
At Studio Designer, every update is designed to help interior design firms spend less time on administrative work and more time doing what they do best: designing.
The February 2026 release focuses on improving everyday workflows across sourcing, project management, financial accuracy, and payroll automation. From new Catalog Early Access features and AI-powered product discovery to clearer financial controls and smarter payroll tools, these updates help design firms move faster while staying organized behind the scenes.
Here’s what’s new.
Smarter Product Discovery and Project Workflows
The February release introduces the Catalog Early Access Program, bringing together structured product data, improved filters, and AI-powered search to help designers move from inspiration to specification faster. Designers can search using natural language, upload images to find visually similar products with reverse image search, and use expanded filters to narrow results by dimensions, finishes, and variations.
New Design Boards can now be created directly within projects, giving teams a central place to organize inspiration and visual concepts. At the same time, structured product specifications and the ability to move Catalog products directly into projects help reduce duplicate data entry and keep product details consistent across workflows.

Payroll, Made Simpler
Studio Payroll also received several improvements focused on automation and clarity.
Payroll Autopilot for Salaried Employees
A new Autopilot feature automatically processes payroll for salaried employees at the end of each pay cycle when direct deposit is enabled. This helps reduce the risk of missed payroll runs.
Automatic Payroll GL Mapping
New payroll setups now automatically apply default Chart of Accounts mappings, ensuring payroll transactions post correctly to the general ledger without additional configuration.
Additional Improvements
This release also introduces improvements that strengthen tracking and data control.
Inventory Change History
Inventory records now include a detailed change history, making it easier to track adjustments and review updates over time.
Permission-Based Inventory Adjustments
Inventory adjustments are now tied to the Journal Entry employee permission, ensuring that only authorized users can modify inventory records.
Studio Designer continues to evolve to support the way modern design firms work, bringing together sourcing, project management, accounting, and collaboration in one platform.
With smarter discovery tools, stronger financial controls, and improved automation across payroll and project workflows, the February 2026 release helps firms work more efficiently while staying focused on design.
